The Worship Pastor (Zondervan) by Zac Hicks is a book every pastor should buy and give to the worship leader in his church. Subtitled “A Call to Ministry for Worship Leaders and Teams,” Hicks points out that true worship leaders are pastors, not rock stars, and need to recognize their primary role is about shaping souls and making disciples. In this practical and encouraging book, the author (himself a worship pastor) explores the many aspects of what a worship pastor is and does, from “Church Lover” and Theological Dietician” to “Missionary” and “Liturgical Architect.” Pastor, read this book then give it to your worship leader.
