I’ve been to the Holy Land twice, and both have been transforming experiences. In explaining the impact, I compare it to watching a show in black-and-white and then switching to color—it comes alive in a whole new way.

What an experience it is to walk on the original, first-century stones at the foot of the Temple Mount, where Jesus and the disciples walked two millennia ago, to take a boat across the Sea of Galilee (and when a storm came up, to think about the day Jesus calmed the storm on that very lake), to visit Nazareth and the towns of Galilee where it all began 2,000 years ago. It is hard to explain the impact it makes, which is why I continue to encourage pastors, church leaders and others to make such a trip at least once.

In a few months (Jan. 11-20, 2016), Ralph Douglas West and I will be leading a tour of Israel that will include special opportunities for preaching and teaching. Ralph West is one of the most powerful preachers I know, and I am looking forward to hearing him proclaim God’s Word in the land where the story took place!

We would love to have many pastors and church leaders join us; and encourage your members to be part of the journey, as well. Click here to learn more. It could be a life-changing experience for you, too!

Blessings!
