Do you ever have a hard time remembering things? I sure do! Sometimes I'm supposed to do something or be somewhere at a particular time, and I just completely forget! And forgetting can get us in trouble, can't it?
Did you know this string can help you remember? Hard to believe, isn't it?
There's an old-fashioned custom that said to tie a string around your finger to help you remember something. The idea is that you will notice that string on your finger and it will remind you that there is something you need to do or somewhere you need to go. Sounds simple, doesn't it?
That's a little bit like the way we are with the Bible, God's Word. God has given us the Bible as a reminder of who He is and how much He loves us. It has all kinds of wonderful stories that remind us of how God can help us when we get into trouble or have a problem.

But it doesn't help us if we don't look at it! Unless we take a few minutes every day to look at God's Word --or maybe have someone read some Bible stories to us -- then we sometimes forget all that God wants for us.
A string is a good reminder, but your Bible is an even better reminder. Let's don't forget to look at it. (JMD)
